My Story
Christine Mazza is a distinguished harpist and educator who teaches harp to both university and community music students at West Virginia University. She maintains an active performance career and appears regularly with the Pittsburgh Opera and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestras. In addition, she serves as Principal Harpist with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra.

Mrs. Mazza is also a member of The Latshaw Pops Orchestra, with whom she tours extensively throughout the Midwest and East Coast. Her past professional engagements include performances with the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Opera Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra, reflecting a career marked by both versatility and artistic excellence.

Deeply committed to music education and community outreach, Mrs. Mazza frequently performs in schools and hospitals alongside her students and is a featured artist in the West Virginia Arts in Education Program. Through these initiatives, she brings the harp to diverse audiences while fostering meaningful educational experiences for young musicians.

In addition to her performing and teaching activities, Mrs. Mazza is the founder and director of the Morgantown Harp Ensemble and the Morgantown Chapter of the American Harp Society, organizations dedicated to the promotion and advancement of harp performance and education in the region.
Mrs. Mazza pursued her harp studies with the legendary Alice Chalifoux at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned her Master of Music degree in Harp Performance.
