My Story

Mr. Mario Perrett is an accomplished saxophonist, educator, and woodwind specialist with decades of experience performing and teaching students of all ages and ability levels. A retired Professor of Woodwind Pedagogy and Saxophone from the University of Massachusetts, Mr. Perrett has dedicated his career to helping students develop strong technical foundations, musical artistry, and confidence as performers.

In addition to his expertise on saxophone, Mr. Perrett teaches woodwind instruments including clarinet and flute, with a teaching approach that emphasizes proper technique, tone development, musicianship, and individualized instruction. His extensive background in both classical and contemporary styles allows him to work successfully with beginners, advancing students, adult learners, and students preparing for auditions, festivals, and collegiate study.

Known for his patient, encouraging, and highly knowledgeable teaching style, Mr. Perrett is passionate about helping each student discover a lifelong love of music while building the skills needed for lasting success.
